Finish: IMUA

For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing testifies that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me.  John 5:36

Lately I have been punishing my body through an exercise regime called CrossFit.  The owners of the “Box” are Hawaiian and have named their gym McMinnville CrossFit IMUA.  Imua is a Hawaiian word meaning, “Do it, press foreword!”

IMUA! Do it.  Finish what you start!

John 5:30 in the NASB says, “For the work which the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I do, bear witness of me, that the father has sent me.”

IMUA.

Whatever God calls a man to is the exact thing he wants him to finish.  As obvious as it sounds you would be surprised at how many men I know who admittedly were called by God but choose the low road. I know two men who have told me for nearly a decade that they are called to ministry but have never done a thing about it-but talk.

Obedience is more than words and talk, IMUA.  Do it. Men do the hard things.

You cannot accomplish the work if you refuse to do it.  You can’t finish what you refuse to start.  Ephesians 2:10 says, “for we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do (IMUA) good works which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Don’t wait to do God’s will.  Don’t put it off for a more convenient time.  Do hard things.

IMUA.
